[Video]: Whether A Rented Building Can Take The Ruling Of A Masjid | Shaykh SāliḥAl-Luhaydān
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Luḥaydān On On Whether A Rented Building Can Take The Ruling Of A Masjid:
The Questioner: May Allāh reward you with good, some brothers in America have rented a place for prayer and they have named the place Masjid such & such for the purpose of establishing the prayers and hosting lessons for the Muslims. So should this place take the ruling of a Masjid even though it was rented?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Luḥaydān: “Yes it takes the ruling of the Masjid so long as it has been set aside for the prayer, and a place to meet in order to fulfil this obligation; it will be during this period of time, even though it is temporary, then during the time that is spent there it takes the ruling of a Masjid.”
