The Questioner: This questioner from Khamīs Mashayyiṭ says, O Shaykh, is it an lawful for a woman to attend the ʿĪd prayer even if she was menstruating, and may Allāh honor you?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān: “Yes she may attend. She should make sure though, as it relates to herself that she attends the ʿĪd prayer even if she is menstruating. However she must stay away from the prayer area. She must stay away from the prayer area.
She should listen to the reminder as the Prophet (ﷺ) said in the ḥadīth of Umm ʿAṭiyyah: ‘We were commanded to bring forth the girls that had reached puberty and the menstruating women to witness the supplication of the Muslims. And the Menstruating women stay away from the prayer area.’ . Yes.”
