Giving Lectures At the Mosques of the People of Religious Innovation | Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān
The Questioner: O noble Shaykh, may Allāh grant you success, this questioner from Britain says that some of the Mosques in Britain bring a man upon the methodology of the Sunnah. He teaches the people monotheism (tawḥīd) or offers them a lecture about monotheism (tawḥīd) but then on the next day, they bring a Ṣūfī or an Ashʿarī who teaches the people Ṣūfism or Ashʿarism. So the question is; is it permissible for this Sunnī caller to teach in places like these Mosques?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān: “No; if they mix between him and the religious innovator and the one who has deviated then that is not permissible for him to do that because they will use him to cover themselves.
They will use him to cover themselves and they will say that we teach monotheism (tawḥīd) and we permit lectures about monotheism (tawḥīd)… This is not appropriate.
This is mixing between the truth and falsehood. He should make a condition for them. He should say that I will teach you or that I will give you a lecture on the condition that you do not bring someone [else] who opposes what I call you to and what I say to you. Yes.”
