Video: The Methodology Of Weighing The Good & Evil (Manhaj Al-Muwāzanah) | Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Ibn Bāz
Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Ibn Bāz On The Methodology Of Weighing The Good And Evil (Manhaj Al-Muwāzanah):
The Questioner: May Allāh reward you. Is weighing between good and evil when establishing a ruling on individuals, books and groups a correct methodology to follow? Or is it a must that a person only mentions the evil and identifies it and warns against the one who is upon it?
Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz: “Whoever makes evil or religious innovation (bidʿah) apparent, [then] we warn against him. And his good deeds are not considered. His good deeds are between him and Allāh. Whoever makes evil or religious innovation (bidʿah) apparent, we warn against him and he is to be advised until he is guided. This is what the Sunnah has established.”
